The Pilot Mountain Turquoise Mine is located in Northern Nevada and produces a very hard and highly sought after deep blue-green turquoise. You will notice the variation of blue to green color near the top of the stone which makes this amazing turquoise even more collectible. First discovered in 1905 by William Miller of Tonopah, Nevada. The incredible stone in this ring is surrounded by twisted silver rope and elaborate cut out work. Hallmarked "J.S." and ".925" (indicates sterling silver) by Navajo artist Sampson Jake. The stone and bezel measures 7/8" by 3/4". Crafted entirely of sterling silver with a wide, comfortable band that is also marked "Sterling" on the inside.
